Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire, a quiet community in The West Island of Montreal is something you could call a "sleepy" area. People who don't understand they mistakenly believe they are on the West Island extends westward from Montreal. In fact the West Island includes everything westward from Lachine. Lachine. Amanda Brugel was born there, but her time in the city wasn't long. Brugel was a woman of a certain age within Courtice Ontario just outside Oshawa. Early ambitions were to become an expert dancer. Then, a growth increase caused her to surpass her dance partners she was able to have. According to an article by Toronto Star, she revealed that in heels she was 6 foot 1 inches tall. As I grew older than my male friends, I quit. Former dancers often turn to acting and in the instance of Brugel,, it was the result of a recommendation by her drama teacher. The teacher was the one who suggested she audition to play the character of Anne for their school's annual production. The audition was successful and she was chosen as Anne of Green Gables. The show was granted an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to go to York University's Theatre Program, where she graduated from the program in 2000, earning a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. Since then, she's appeared in over 60 productions both big and small. The most notable was when she landed the role of Rita on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel played the role of Rita in the Handmaid's Tale, a series that was produced over the course of ten years.
